Labels Matter!

Don’t be so quick to cut them off! Clothing instructions matter. Knowing how to read laundry symbols is second hand nature to a true fashionista. A laundry symbol is a pictograph indicating how an item of clothing should be best taken care of.  I  love  my clothes so much and I would hate to have ruined them because I didn’t take care of them properly, this includes following the care instructions. A laundry tag can be found on the inside of your clothes. It’s sometimes located at the nape of your neck under the size indicator or in a side seam.  I have learned a lot about clothes from reading care symbols. My clothes last longer   and look as good as new because of it!   Also, as side note, Sometimes reading labels in stores before hand can allow you to determine whether you can HANDLE taking care of a particular item. Black And Proud!

         Lets start with the basics. I mean the BASIC of basics, our all time favorite color….BLACK! Now I’m certainly not here to discourage you from wearing your favorite pair of black jeans or favorite black dress, but lets be real here - Black don’t crack and it is certainly timeless!  I personally started my fashion escapades by wearing black frequently. Wearing black made me more comfortable with experimenting with other colors, to be honest. I find nothing more comfortable than wearing all black but, with a pop of color! It’s still my ultimate go-to to this day. I want to challenge you to think outside of the box when it comes to wearing black. Don’t stick with basic black t-shirts , or basic black jeans. Think, black ripped jeans for a grunge look, or a black lace blouse to add a little sexy to spruce up the black collection a bit. I find that these items usually can become wardrobe staples.
